Since 2005 a part of the proceeds of the festival Balla Coi Cinghiali is donated to different charities’ projects:

2005_Pumba Project– Gaslini Band Band
As a result of a meeting between Balla Coi Cinghiali and Onlus Association Gaslini Band Band, which operates for the improvement of the quality of life of hospitalised children, the project aimed to collect funds to finance the music workrooms for the little patients of the G. Gaslini Hospital, in Genoa. With the founds collected during the two-day festival, the Gaslini Band Band purchased a stock of musical instruments to be used during its life animation performances and organised an induction course to the sounds with Danilo Raimondo, a craftsman of the sound, which took place at the Genovese Institure, on October 8th 2005.

2006_ Pinocchio Nero Project – AMREF
Balla Coi Cinghiali supported the Pinocchio Nero project, which developed through the collaboration of Amref and the director Marco Baliani, who created a theatrical workroom to be used as an educational and rehabilitation instrument of Nairobi’s street youths. During the three-day festival, Balla Coi Cinghiali collected founds for the Pinocchio Nero Project: equivalent to 5% of the proceeds derived from the sale of Balla Coi Cinghiali’s merchandising and sale of AMREF’s merchandising and donations.

2007_ Surgery of Khozinjampara (India) - FIND THE CURE

Balla Coi Cinghiali donated 5% of the proceeds derived from the sale of its own merchandising, equivalent to 1000 Euro, to the Onlus Committee Find The Cure, in order to build a surgery in the city of Kozhinjampara, South India, an highly underdeveloped area located on the border between Kerala and Tamil Nadu regions. The works have been completed and the practice in the surgery commenced on 15 October 2007.

2008_ School of Nantikotukur (India) - FIND THE CURE

The collaboration between Balla Coi Cinghiali and Find The Cure has further developed; during Balla Coi Cinghiali, taken white coats and uniforms off, Find The Cure’s doctors and nurses cooked the Chapati, the Indian traditional bread, and helped to prepare breakfast and to clean the tables. The founds that Association Balla Coi Cinghiali donated to Find The Cure will be used to complete the building of the school of Nantikotukur, in Andra Pradesh, South India.
